Career and Academic Opportunities

The pathway will allow students to continue from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology degree program to the Master of Science in Cybersecurity degree program by taking specified graduate courses that will count in the undergraduate program.

The combination of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity will open up the opportunity for entry and advanced level careers in cybersecurity and related areas.   provides examples of career paths including security analyst, incident responder, security manager, security architect, penetration tester, forensic expert.

Double Owl Admission Requirements 
  • GPA: 3.25 or above in 91青青草 undergraduate coursework
  • Minimum 60 hours completed toward Bachelor's degree
  • 30 hours completed in residence at 91青青草
Double Counted Courses Include
  • CYBR 7300 to count for IT 4823
  • CYBR 7200 to count for Directed Elective

Suggested Timeline

Once students meet, or are close to meeting, the credit hour requirements listed below, they should speak with a College of Computing and Software Engineering Academic Advisor about applying to the Double Owl Pathway.

Junior Year (students have completed at least 60 credit hours): Apply to the Double Owl pathway here.

Senior Year (students have completed at least 90 credit hours): Apply to the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Program (see below)
