Minor in Chinese Studies

The Minor in Chinese Studies provides you with an in-depth understanding of China's linguistic and cultural aspects. Enroll in courses to address topics significantly impacting Chinese culture and society. Gain essential insights into critical reading and writing activities, study abroad opportunities and internships. 

The Minor in Chinese Studies requires 15 hours of Chinese coursework. CHIN 2001 and CHIN 2002 may be counted towards the minor; all remaining course work must be at the upper-division level. Advanced speakers of Chinese should consult with a Chinese Studies advisor about testing options using the Advanced Standing examinations available in the Department of Foreign Languages.
